The external sensor is ratio metric. The result  is done in pourcent. It is necessary to convert in Voltage then use this table to finally convert in pourcent of filling of tank.

The formule to use is :

VoltageOutput  =  Measured_Value * 5 /100                    [Volt]

then use this table:

ex: Measured_Value = 78.12% => Measured_Value = (78.12 * 5 ) / 100 = 3.906 V. The corresponding graduation is 80%. So the filling of the tank is 80 %.
